Moms Offering Moms Support

You need a support group that understands your special needs
as an at-home mother, and we're it!

History

MOMS Club® was founded in 1983 when an at-home mother in California decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club was born.

The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club, too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country and around the world!

We now have over 1950 chapters all over the world!

Here are some of the things that make us special:

  • We meet during the day, when at-home mothers most need support!

  • We believe being a mother shouldn't isolate you, so mothers may bring their children with them!  We offer the support by planning playgroups, park days, field trips, and other types of activities to give moms opportunities to socialize and to allow their kids time to interact with other kids.

  • Our goals include: giving moral support to at-home moms, providing a forum for topics of interest to women, giving mothers a voice in their community, performing service projects benefiting children and their families and most of all to provide activities to encourage growth, development, and friendships in an environment directed to a common goal. Raising our children in a healthy way.

  • We know being an at-home mother today means making a financial sacrifice, so dues to our local chapters are only $25 per year!

  • At-home mothers of any age children are welcome! You don't have to leave the group when your children enter school! We know you still need support as your children grow!

  • The MOMS Club is a nonprofit corporation and a 501 (C) (3) publicly-supported charity registered with the IRS!

Goals

  • To provide a support group for mothers who choose to stay at home to raise their children

  • To provide a forum for topics of interest to mothers

  • To help children in the community

  • To perform at least one service project yearly helping needy children

Principles

  • That women must be free to choose their personal path to fulfillment.

  • That, for women who choose it, raising children is an important and fulfilling full-time job.

  • That a family's decision for a mother to stay at home to raise the children often involves considerable financial sacrifice.

  • That there is no one right way to raise children, but our members have a common concern in raising their children in a healthful way.

You may attend two activities* before you decide to become a member. We understand that being a stay-at-home mom often means a tight family budget, so if the dues would be a hardship for your family, please talk to one of our board members.  We hope to see you soon!
